As Linzi says, “It’s completely fresh, no one thought that what we do was even possible. Everything you hear is violins!

The style that we use when we play is more akin to that of a guitar player, with more soul and electricity – literally!

Linzi says I grew up in a strait-laced, middle-class family. My mother and stepfather were not culturally adventurous, and they were comfortable with the values of middle-class morality.

So, for me, rock was a glimpse of liberation. Not that I loaded it with great social significance at the time; that came later.

It was just a very wonderful noise that changed my heartbeat.

Music altered you in certain ways, some of which were shallow. It changed the way you dressed, the way you did your hair.

FUSE are the world’s leading contemporary elelctric violin duo created by Linzi Stoppard and Ben Lee (The 4-Times World’s Fastest Violinist) in early 2008. Linzi and Ben set out to change the stereo-type that violins are just for vivaldi by showing it could be as versatile as the more common place electric guitar.

The results are simply stunning, creating music most couldn’t even imagine.
