Her father-in-law has been quick to praise her artistic efforts in the past. Linzi Stoppard, who is married to the son of the esteemed playwright Sir Tom Stoppard, has modelled the world’s most expensive electric violin.
The sparkling violin is one of several created by Swarovski for Linzi and her musical partner Ben Lee, who make up the heavy-metal inspired violin act FUSE.
Each bespoke Bridge electric violin is encrusted with 50,000 Swarovski crystals and has a £1million price tag.
They were unveiled yesterday at Harrods in Central London, where they will stay on display until June 2. Linzi married Will, 38, the son of Sir Tom and his ex-wife Miriam, in 2005.
‘These violins are incredible, just stunning – the light explodes off the Swarovski crystals,’ says Linzi.
‘We love the fact that whilst they have become pieces of art, we can still play the songs from our new album Fuse on them.’
